Happy 1st of October

Did you know its International Day of Older Persons!?!?! The holiday is celebrated by raising awareness about issues affecting the elderly, such as senescence and elder abuse. It is also a day to appreciate the contributions that older people make to society. huh!! I didn't know this til today! "Hi, Mom!" hahaha ok ok ok, and Dad!!!

Today, I woke up at 3am to a little boy in my way...so I got up to put him in bed and he says to me "I have to pee" So off we go to the bathroom to pee, and then back in bed he went! He tried valiantly to come back to our bed, but I promised him he could when Daddy left for work...which thankfully he slept right thru! So, I woke up alone at 7:21!!! And then, I kid you not, 2 mins later he joined me! HA!

This morning we had company....one of Howie's co-worker's wife....I got to get rid of all of Sam's baby clothes that she's outgrown! I'd tried selling them on craigslist, and had a few hits, but I got tired of listing them...so when I heard they were having a girl, I messaged her and offered the clothes. She took 'em all...hangers included! YES!!!! Less to pack! And I got a GREAT visit with her too!!! I'd met her back in Maui and learned she's Canadian....but in fact she was born in Australia, and moved to Canada when she was 7. It's nice to have that connection with other Canadians!

After she left we did lunch and then Sam took a nap. While she took her nap I tried to get DJ to take one...he was having NOTHING to do with that! So, instead we snuggled under the blanket, giggled, sang songs, and I told him stories til he heard Sam wake up. It was perfect! Very sweet!

Howie got home late from work and we got started on dinner, and after that I took a shower while he tended the monsters children. Bed time went REALLY smoothly too! Samantha is finally back to her normal sleeping self and barely whimpered when I put her down. And after saying prayers with DJ and singing "the wheels on the bus" he went right to sleep. Even Howie went to bed early as he was tired. So, it's just me and the fur babies, all of which are enjoying the kid-free existence! Just like me!

I'm also watching Private Practice....and it's mind boggling....good show tho!

Til next time...ciao!
